Welcome to Taxo Tape
TaxoTape® TX-TPCM series Phase Change Materials (PCM) are advanced thermal interface materials designed to provide efficient heat transfer between electronic components and heat sinks. Unlike traditional thermal pads or thermal grease, PCMs combine the clean handling of solid materials with the high thermal performance of conformable interface compounds.
At room temperature, phase change materials remain solid and easy to handle, allowing precise placement during assembly. When the device reaches its designed operating temperature, the material softens and flows slightly, filling microscopic surface gaps between the heat source and cooling structure. This process removes trapped air and creates a low-resistance thermal interface, significantly improving heat dissipation.
Because PCM materials only soften during operation, they maintain excellent dimensional stability during storage, handling, and assembly. This property makes them particularly suitable for automated manufacturing and large-scale electronic production, where clean handling and consistent application are important.
Our Phase Change Thermal Interface Materials offer thermal conductivity options ranging from 0.95 to 7.5 W/m·K and are available in roll form with liner backing for easy die-cutting or automated placement. The materials also feature natural tackiness, eliminating the need for additional adhesives during installation.
PCM solutions are widely used in processors, high-frequency electronics, power modules, and computing systems, where reliable thermal performance and controlled interface thickness are essential for device stability and long-term operation.
